See the Alaska Seat Belt Use Survey Results 2007: Seat Belt Survey
In late 2005, the municipality of Anchorage passed an ordinance
requiring bicycle helmets on children under the age of 16.
 Providence Alaska Medical Center has agreed to buy thousands of bicycle
helmets for children in Anchorage. These helmets will be distributed
by the Alaska Injury Prevention Center, Alaska Safe Kids, Anchorage Police
Department, Anchorage Fire Department, and several other partners.
AIPC created a web site called
anchoragebikehelmets.org
to facilitate this important program.
