Mission Statement

The Alaska Injury Prevention Center (AIPC) is a non-profit corporation with a mission to prevent injuries to the people of Alaska.  We have a dedicated team including public health professionals, a board of directors, and many volunteers from around the state.


Our Mission

The Mission of the Alaska Injury Prevention Center is to prevent unintentional and intentional injuries, thereby reducing the pain and suffering resulting from these tragedies to the people of Alaska.

To accomplish this mission, AIPC sponsors projects and works with communities to promote bicycle helmets, car seats, pedestrian reflectorization, drowning prevention, suicide prevention, firearm safety, seat belts, booster seats, ice grippers for seniors, work place safety, etc.
